Production Process of Cork Polishing Wheel for Glass Straight Edging Machine
1. Raw Material Selection
High-quality special cork is selected as the core raw material. Strict inspection is carried out on the material’s density, elasticity and purity. Impurities, defective fragments and unqualified raw materials are completely removed to ensure the basic performance of the polishing wheel.
2. Cork Crushing and Sieving
The qualified cork raw materials are crushed into uniform fine particles by professional crushing equipment. A precision sieve is used to classify particle sizes, and cork particles of specific mesh are screened out according to the production standards of different specifications of polishing wheels to ensure consistent product fineness.
3. Binder Mixing
The screened cork particles are evenly mixed with special resin binder in a fixed proportion. The mixing ratio and time are strictly controlled to balance the flexibility, wear resistance and adhesion of the product, avoiding cracking and excessive wear during glass polishing.
5. Curing Treatment
The molded wheel blanks are sent to the curing workshop for constant-temperature curing. This process enables the resin binder to complete sufficient chemical reaction, effectively improving the overall hardness, structural stability and service durability of the polishing wheel, and preventing deformation in use.
6. Precision Machining
After curing, the semi-finished products undergo precision mechanical processing, including outer diameter turning, surface grinding and center hole drilling. The size, flatness and concentricity of the polishing wheel are precisely calibrated to perfectly match the assembly and operation requirements of glass straight edging machines.
7. Strict Quality Inspection
Finished products are inspected item by item: dimensional tolerance, surface flatness, hardness, concentricity and surface flaw detection. Products with deformation, cracks, uneven density or unqualified sizes are eliminated to ensure 100% qualified factory products.
8. Cleaning and Packaging
The dust and debris generated during machining are thoroughly cleaned from the qualified polishing wheels. The finished products are packaged individually with dust-proof and moisture-proof materials to prevent collision damage and moisture erosion during transportation and storage.
